The animated, dialogue-free film Space Cadet is part of this years Generation Kplus program and is centered around the beautiful relationship between the young girl Celeste and her guardian Robot. We had the chance to meet up with director Eric San at a café close to Filmtheater am Friedrichshain after one of the screenings. Sadly, we had to cut a majority of the fascinating and very pleasant, one-hour-long conversation. © OUTSIDERS eine Kritik zu „Space Cadet" Verlust, Veränderung, Einsamkeit und vor allem Freundschaft; diese Themen werden in dem Animationsfilm „Space Cadet“ von Eric San (aka Kid Koala) auf liebevolle Weise dargestellt. Zunächst lernen wir Celeste und ihren Roboter - Freund kennen. Die beiden sind ein eingespieltes Team und gehen gemeinsam durch dick und dünn. Durch Robots Fähigkeit, Erinnerungen auf seiner Festplatte zu speichern und diese später anzuschauen, erfahren wir, dass Celestes Mutter eine Weltall- Forscherin war und ihre Tochter mithilfe von Robot allein aufgezogen hat.
