Content Note: What will I Become? deals with topics like suicide, depression, transphobia, homophobia, abuse and rape. In this year's Berlinale 14plus section there is only one documentary “What will I Become?” The film deals with the alarming high number of suicides around the trans masculine community which is around 50%. Director Lexie Bean and Logan Rozos talk about two trans boys Kyler and Blake who have lost their lives to suicide at a young age. Their personalities and lifestyles couldn't be more different from each other yet their faith ended the same way. The directors begin a journey of asking Kylers and Blakes loved ones, parents and chosen family about them while also diving into their own experience as trans people. One of the most moving and politically urgent films in this year's Berlinale program is the Iranian shot film Memories of a window by Mehraneh Salimian and Amin Pakparvar. The film documents the Women, Life, Freedom protest in Iran in 2022 and the brutal oppression of the Iranian regime. At the same time, it is a poetic and deeply beautiful call to fight for your rights.I was eager to get to know the filmmakers behind this remarkable documentary. Since they couldn't make it to Berlin, we met online and I am very happy to be to share our conversation here. Ich sitze da vor meinem Computer, mitten in der Recherche, und muss weinen. Leichtigkeit und Stärke im Einklang mit der Natur

Eine Kritik zu Village Rockstars 2 Mit Village Rockstars 2 kommt Rima Das zur Berlinale zurück. 2019 erhielt sie mit Bulbul Can Sing die Lobende Erwähnung der Internationalen Jury von Berlinale Generation, 2020 war sie selbst Teil der Internationalen Jury. Jetzt also folgt Village Rockstars 2, die Fortsetzung eines Spielfilms aus dem Jahr 2017, den man jedoch nicht gesehen haben muss, um sich auf diesen Film einzulassen. eine Kritik zu "It's okay". Tanzen steht im Mittelpunkt von In-youngs (Lee Re) Leben. Auch ein Jahr nach dem Tod ihrer Mutter gibt ihr das Tanzen Trost und Gefühle von Stärke und Sicherheit, weil auch für In-youngs Mutter das professionelle Tanzen ein Traum war, den In-young ihr und sich selbst erfüllen möchte.
